Would you expect me to be an unicorn?

"Can you please be normal?"

How can I pretend to be what does not even exist?

Would you ask me to be an unicorn?

So, how come you expect me to pretend to be normal?

How to do that? I've never met anyone normal,

I don't know what that is even like.

You see, I'm lucky and privilege in that way,

I've been blessed with the opportunity to get to know people

People reveal the roles they play, their wishes and dreams

But overall they just show me they are so unique.

I've yet to meet normal.

I know averages, but averages only indicate the mean,

and that cannot be synonymous with “normal”.

Let us please not pretend to be what does not exist.
